Jon McLaughlin Indiana Just Give It Time Just give it time, everything changes. Tomorrow comes today will be gone. Everythings gonna be alright. Just give it time, give it time. Im currently in the Fort. We moved Chelsea into the basement Well I started this post up in the Fort, but then was interrupted mid-stream. Now Im back in Muncie. Chelsea is all moved in, and now just has things to unpack. It was a busy weekend full of families and graduation ceremonies, but now it is done. Now, back to reality. My entry starts with a snippet from Jon McLaughlins Just Give It Time from his latest album Indiana. If you havent heard of him, you should definitely click on his name above and check him out. He is an amazing pianist, and his music has so much passion behind it. I thought these lyrics were fitting in my life right now; as they could be any time in life. Tomorrow always comes, and today will be gone. While many of us wish to dwell in the past, the rest of the world is moving on to tomorrow. No matter how hard we try, we cant bring yesterday back. What is done, is done. This does not mean to forget about the lessons weve learned or the people who have touched our lives. These are the things that help us get through what tomorrow will bring. While things may be changing for me right now, I know things will be alright. No matter what types of struggles Ive been given, it is nothing I cannot handle. While I wish things could have been a little different, Im happy with the life I have, and the direction Im headed. I have an amazing person in my life whom has given me a support system I could not imagine living with out. I am very luck to have found someone as caring and understanding as her. Im the luckiest man in the world. While looking toward the future is important, I must quote a famous American composer and playwright, Jonathan Larson, Live for today. |
